Jason's 1st Haircut

He's had a few trims, but we've never cut the whole thing before, and it was getting pretty long in the back and around the ears...
So on Saturday, we set Jason up in his high chair and gave him a much needed haircut.

We got him to sit still by putting in Finding Nemo...that's the only one we have so far that he'll sit and watch. And it did the trick.

It's much shorter, much cleaner, and much cuter.

Jazz v Magic

Brent and I went to my first NBA game this week. The Orlando Magic were playing the Utah Jazz here at the ES Arena. And our brother in law tipped us off on some really cheap tickets! $6 each...not bad...if you're ok with these seats.

You would think this picture was taken from the ceiling, but no, this was our veiw of the game.

And here we are on the very last row on the upper balcony - yes, that is the wall behind us. haha.

We went with my sister, Kristin and a bunch of her friends.
It was pretty fun.

Brent got to see some of his favorite players play...and loose, unfortunately.

It was a pretty good game during the 2nd half, though. And there were some pretty amazing plays!

After the game is when the fun started, although we didn't get any pictures of it. We got to our car and it wouldn't start. Our gas meter doesn't work too well, so we figured it was out of gas. We started walking around trying to find a gas station. The closest one was 4 blocks away. I was in heels, so Brent dropped me off at a hotel to stay in the lobby so he could walk a little faster. Well, he ended up going to 5 gas stations looking for one that was open and had a gas can he could borrow...He walked a total of 10 blocks. Poor guy! Luckily, we got a hold of Kristin and she and her friends were able to come pick him up and drive him back to our car so he didn't have to walk all the way back. On our way home, we saw that it was 5* outside!! I felt so bad!! But so thankful for my awesome husband!

Oh Christmas Tree

I love having a Christmas tree!! I love decorating it...you can read more about that {here} if you want...I love how it makes our house look. I love the lights! I love the colors!

And Jason's been surprisingly ok with it.

I was worried that he'd want to play with the "balls" and that I'd be constantly pulling him away from it. But he's hardly even interested in it.

And last year I was smart enough to by shatterproof ornaments after Christmas when they were super cheap, so even if he gets them, most of them just bounce. Shatterproof ornaments are amazing! I love them!!

Anyway, he does like to play around the tree, though. The other day I couldn't see him, but I could hear him... Do you see what I see?

Setting Up Christmas

This year, Jason really enjoyed helping me take our nativity set out of the box.

I introduced him to every figure.
He only tried to eat a few of them...

Later as I was decorating the tree, Jason found some goodies.

"uh oh...you're not going to be mad at me, are ya mom?"

"these are so good!"

"I just can't get it out of the wrapper very well!"

"oh, there's a piece"

"yeay"

"I love Christmas!"
