Two Month Recap

Wow, so much has happened, and I've just been too busy to blog.
So, here goes:

We surprised my family by going to Idaho for Christmas.  We kind of decided to do this late because we found out my family was going to be moving, so we wanted to be there to spend the last Christmas in my Mom's home with everybody.  It was fun to surprise everyone - especially Shannon who started crying - made me feel good! And everyone got to meet little Bryan.

Obviously I didn't get a photo of everyone holding him, but hold him they did!  He got lotsa love.
We had a great time up there.
Bryan slept in a box.

Jason shot Bonka - lots and lots.

Bryan learned to smile.

Jason played games with Oma.

We went to see Santa.

We made Gingerbread Cookies.

loads of self control

Jason made a robot for Bonka's Christmas present.
That's all he wanted to give his Bonka.
It took a while to figure out how to make that happen.
But with lots of creative thinking and help from Aunt Kristin, we did it!

We celebrated Christmas Eve at Wahooz.

Jason loved dancing on those disco lights!
Jason loved rolling the ball down the ramp and yelling "aaaah!" as it rolled slowly all the way down the lane and knocked usually just one or two pins over.  Such suspense waiting to see which ones would fall!

Later that night we had a super delicious Christmas Eve dinner.
with EVERYONE!
Merry Christmas Eve!

Jason got to open one present on Christmas Eve, and of course it was jammies and Lightning McQueen slippers.

And then we sent two boys to bed so Santa could come fill their stockings.

We celebrated Christmas.
First we went to Church - which was so nice!  When we came home, we got to see what Santa left us.

Jason was super excited about his cars - the movie and the toys.
Bryan was super excited as well.
Totally slept through the whole thing.
This is seriously the coolest toy - Neo Tracks
They're flexible tracks you can bend any and every which way, and they come with battery powered cars that run all over the tracks...It is so cool!  Love em.
We also got some great things from Santa.
And there were some awesome gifts going around to and from everyone!  I got a Kitchenaid - which I am SO excited about!!  Been wanting one forever.  Brent got an air compressor - which he is super excited about!!  And we were also really excited for the gifts we gave this year.  I hope everyone liked em. :)  What a great Christmas!!

Bryan turned 2 months old.

brother love

We went ice skating for Natalie's Birthday.

first time on the ice for this little guy

We cleaned out canned goods or should I say bads.

We cleaned out the house.
Each of us got to keep some of Mom's things.

And we said goodbye.
I'm so glad we were there!!  It was great to be with everyone.

When we came home, we went straight up to our new home to live in a hotel for a month while we searched for a rental house.  Hotel life was as good as it could be - they put us up in a really nice one.
But, we were ready to be out of there by the end of January.

 Bryan turned 3 months old.

handsome boy

And we officially moved.  I'll put up pictures of the house when I get everything unpacked.  So far, we absolutely love it here!!  It reminds me a lot of my home town.  It's beautiful - full of hills and trees.  The people are so nice and it's just the right size - big enough to have everything we need (minus a temple and a major airport which are only 90 minutes away), and small enough to feel safe and sound.  So far Brent loves his new position and I'm ready to set up shop and stay here a while, but we're just not sure how long we'll be here yet.
